description icon Description
Directed by changes to the Alaska Coastal Management Program, the Municipality is revising its Anchorage Coastal Management Plan. This Plan is a collection of geotechnical, hydrologic, and environmental information and includes management policies for the Municipality's coastal resources. The original plan was reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission and adopted by the Anchorage Assembly in 1980 and revised in June 1987. Anchorage's Plan is an element of the Comprehensive Plan. This public hearing draft will be submitted for state review in March. It will then be sent back to the Municipality for final Assembly approval later in the year.
